A COMPLETE CHECKLIST TO PREPARE YOUR PROPERTY FOR A HOME INSPECTION
At VisionQuest Home Inspections, LLC, we understand that a home inspection can be stressful. As a seller, it’s common to be nervous because no one wants to hear that there are problems with their house and, in turn, have to reduce their sales price. However, if you prepare your home effectively, there is a very small chance that an inspection could lower your property value. Also, the faster you improve the look and function of your house, the quicker you can sell it and move into another home.
As experts in property inspections, we’ve created a handy checklist to help you prepare your home with as little stress as possible. It involves taking care of known maintenance problems ahead of time and creating a favorable environment for the home inspector to complete their work. So follow our checklist accurately so that you can get back to the other important things in life.
1. Clean and declutter storage from your attic and around the access points.
2. Make sure to check if heating ducts are connected in the crawl space.
3. Replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
